Hidden in winter footwear and socks, compressed, overheated and cold. They often have calloused and cracked heels that may be painful when walking.
To prepare your feet to wear sandals and thongs, start with a relaxing foot soak in a hot water with soap or salt, with the addition of essential oils. This would soften your skin, and salt would additionally remove swelling and the feeling of tired, heavy legs.
After 10-15 minutes, remove the calloused skin with extra coarse foot file or pumice stone. If your heels are cracked, move the file along the cracks to prevent their expansion. The next step is to use a natural scrub that will smooth and moisturise the skin, and that is a perfect occasion to give your feet a massage.
Then you may apply a specialised product – depending on the problem, you may use anti-callus foot cream, regenerating serum or dry and cracked heel repair. Massage a thick layer of the cream into the skin, put cotton socks and leave overnight. Once winter is over your nails will also need a treat, so use a fortifying treatment in the morning to provide your nail plate with nourishing components, such as elastin and liquid keratin. Just a few days will make you see the difference, and after 2-3 weeks of such treatments, your feet will be beautifully maintained and prepared for sandals or barefoot beach wandering.
