Summer sun and sea bathing unfortunately destroy our natural skin lipid layer that prevents the skin from water loss.

Therefore, the skin becomes calloused and thick. Then, our golden tanned skin starts to get grey and scales off – a tragedy to be immediately remedied.  First of all, the skin needs to get back its proper hydration level and be provided with substances that enable regeneration. To help take care of your dehydrated skin after tanning, we recommend d-panthenol- and allantoin-rich creams that sooth irritations, accelerate skin regeneration and are strong moisturisers.  They should also contain ceramides, urea, glycerine or hyaluronic acid and vitamins. To regenerate skin experienced by summer sun (not only soles and heels), start with a natural scrub or a flexible foot file – once you remove dead skin cells you will unveil fresh tan, even out skin colour and help skin regeneration, because it will help active ingredients to penetrate deeper. Then, massage a thick layer of the regenerative cream or mask into the skin. Put cotton socks on and leave overnight. Repeat the treatment 2-3 times a week until your skin rebuilds. The product containing a loading dose of moisturising and nourishing substances is a serum. The cure should be applied for approximately 3-4 weeks as this is the natural cycle for skin renewal. New cells that are formed will certainly be healthier and stronger.

Skin that is sensitised by the sun demands gentleness, so try to avoid soap-containing products as soap removes natural protective lipid layer.
